The company signed a smart partnership agreement on Friday with Maritiem Instituut Willem Barentsz (MIWB), Maritiem Instituut de Ruyter (MIR) and Maritime Intel Sdn Bhd (MISB), the operating company of NMIT.
The managing director of MlSB, Captain Razali Yaacob, said NMIT, which aspires to be the leading regional maritime education and training solutions provider, would accept its first intake of 240 students in 2011.
The Institute will offer diploma, degree and masters courses in transport, shipping, seafaring, maritime and logistics management.
Courses will begin at the Initial location in Kotaraya, Johor Baru, before the institute moves to its permanent campus in EduCity by 2012. — Bernama
